American Revolution

When taking a look at something as large and important for our history as the American Revolution you really need to look at it from the perspective of someone living in that time period, as all the emotions and outside factors that sway your decisions would be very different in todays time. One of the reasons historians find it so difficult to find a definitive cause is because it was a much more complicated matter and a many different events pushed the settlers to wanting a better life. In the American revolution it was not North Vs. South it was neighbors fighting neighbors and this created very high tension among communities and even families. This to me is the biggest factor, as tension increased communities were forced to pick sides and make decisions, but as this has never happened they did not know what the outcome would or could be. These first Americans had to stand up and fight for what they thought was right, but this was easier said than done as people who wanted to fight were actually in the minority.
